It wasn't too hard. Persephone owed him a favor. After all, he'd managed to get her the failsafe to keep her in the Underworld and out of her overbearing mother's clutches, at least for half the year. Pomegranate seeds weren't that hard to come by, even in Hades' realm. Now, he was dealing with a much bigger catch than a few little seeds.
He'd seen the signs before. Demyx was a moron for all intents and purposes, everyone at the Castle That Never Was knew it. A lazy, unmotivated moron. But there were glimpses. Signs of something bigger. More black, a Darkness that boiled just underneath the surface. Xigbar kept a close eye on the young Nobody...there had to be some lapse, some kind of sign of just what they were actually dealing with. Of course, it turned out that what they were dealing with was a very, very good actor. Maybe even better than he was, and wasn't that a nice kick to the ego?
Then he'd followed Demyx on one of his solo missions, purposefully chosen to antagonize him. Ruffle a few feathers. What he got was a nice little view of just how nasty Demyx could get when he was genuinely angry. Xigbar wasn't sure what would happen first, Demyx's sitar breaking or the poor guy drowning. But it definitely got his attention. The question was, how to best get Demyx ruffled like that without giving him a death sentence by provoking him into attacking a superior.
Well, hey. There was a reason why sex was called a little death.
Xigbar exited the portal first, pulling his hood back to take a quick look around. No wandering ghosts or ghouls, and no Hades. Good. Persephone came through after all.
"Ugh. Still smells like rotting dead guys down here. Who knew ghosts stunk, huh?"

Date: 2015-08-16 07:27 pm (UTC)He'd had no desire to take on this mission, only they were never optional. It was only a quick recon mission, he wasn't entirely sure why both of them were being assigned to it, but he hadn't argued. Demyx knew better than that. He'd offered a small complaint about how long it would take and a little whine and left it at that, with a cheerful smile.
It wasn't hard to maintain his facade over the years, most of them couldn't care less if he had an underlying streak. It wasn't all that different from everyone else's, after all they were heartless Nobodies, but he so rarely let it out that people tended to forget what they were dealing with.
Demyx worked that to his full advantage.
Stepping into the Underworld and choking back a gag, he tilted his head back and looked around idly, taking in all the details he seemed to have an easy time picking them up.
"Guess that's what happens when people die, they stink, ghost or not. Let's get going I guess."

"Funny Xigbar." He gave his head a ditzy little tilt and walked ahead of him through the cave. Without Hades around then, they'd only have to worry about the Heartless.

Date: 2015-08-16 08:37 pm (UTC)Xigbar swept in close as Demyx passed, nearly pressing his nose right up against the back of the young man's neck and inhaling the soft saltwater scent that followed him everywhere. And just as quickly as he'd made the contact he was gone, slipping past Demyx to take the lead after all. "Now, where's that tunnel I had my eye on the other day..."

Date: 2015-08-16 08:41 pm (UTC)He paused in his tracks. Did Xigbar just smell him? What was that about? Dumbfounded, he stared after him with a relatively open look of confusion. What was he up to? He had to be up to something.
"...Which tunnel?" He asked after a pause, exhaling a little.

Date: 2015-08-16 08:57 pm (UTC)It was embarrassingly suggestive moving through the gap. But then, that's why he picked it. Once he was through he dusted off his coat. "Come on, kid. This way. Go ahead and just kinda wiggle through. They're sturdy."

Date: 2015-08-16 09:44 pm (UTC)He shrugged a little and examined the rocks, trying to make sense of the angle before starting. The rock forced his back to be arched, hips pushed forward as he began to wriggle, inch by inch.
"It's tight." He groaned a little, squirming. Finally his hand found the end and he pulled himself out with a grunt, landing unceremoniously on the ground. Smooth Demyx, he thought, rolling his eyes as he got up.
"Okay, that's it!" He said cheerfully and smacked at his coat to clear the dust.

Date: 2015-08-17 03:33 am (UTC)There was a skittering in the dark, a quiet chirping that could only belong to Heartless. He rolled his eyes as he manifested his arrowguns, taking aim into the darkness. "Look alive, kid. We've got company."

Date: 2015-08-17 03:38 am (UTC)"I'm so not the right guy for this!" He whined and summoned his sitar. Holding Arpeggio at the ready, he was certain he could handle whatever came.
The first one attacked from above, grazing his hair and he let out a yelp and swung his sitar at the thing. "Leave my hair alone!"

Date: 2015-08-17 02:49 pm (UTC)He jumped back to give Demyx more room to summon up water, if he really wanted to waste his energy using magic.

Date: 2015-08-17 02:55 pm (UTC)His muscles were tense. He was full of pressure. The creatures were distracting enough to keep his focus on the fight instead of keeping up appearances.
Naturally he summoned his water, slicing through the low level creatures. The exertion left him leaning on his sitar, panting softly.
Oh right. His powers barely worked in the Underworld.

Date: 2015-08-22 08:03 pm (UTC)He slipped between, reappearing inverted in the air behind the stragglers and shot off a rapid volley that obliterated the entire group. Between again. Back at Demyx's side, his feet on the ground where they belonged. He was panting from the exertion as well, his yellow eye gleaming from the excitement of the fight.
"You really caught me off guard there. I thought you never got angry." He laughed again, breathlessly, reaching out to playfully punch Demyx's arm. "Kinda cute."

Date: 2015-08-22 08:45 pm (UTC)"And I'm not cute. Don't...stop fooling around!" The comment was strange and made him feel a little uncomfortable. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other.
"We uh, have to keep moving, right?" A charming smile, a ditzy headtilt. He would retaliate by being thrown off kilter with deeper acting.

Date: 2015-08-22 09:02 pm (UTC)But he didn't move. Now that he'd seen it again, it was a definite thing. Demyx was good, but he was young. He'd slipped up, and Xigbar had been there to see it. A slow smirk crept across his face. He came closer to Demyx suddenly, ducking in close to his neck in one swift motion. His breath ghosted over skin as he spoke.
"Or how about we talk about your little temper problem, huh Demyx? The one you're so damn good at hiding you've even got the Superior fooled..."

Date: 2015-08-22 09:09 pm (UTC)Then all of his personal bubble was gone when Xigbar invited himself inside of it. His breath hitched at the strange sensation of having someone else's breath on his neck.
A shiver traveled the length of his spine and he grated out in a strained, but still cheerful voice. "I don't have a problem!"

Date: 2015-08-22 09:31 pm (UTC)He brought up a hand to Demyx's chest, pushing him backwards slowly, to put his back against the rock wall of the cavern. His breath was still at Demyx's neck. "You tortured that guy for two hours. And when he didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, you beat him into a bloody pulp. So not only do you have a temper problem, you enjoy making people hurt."
Xigbar pressed his mouth against Demyx's neck, teeth scraping ever so slightly against skin. "You lying little sneak..."

Date: 2015-08-22 09:39 pm (UTC)Xigbar had no problems steering him, Demyx wanted to put space between them, swallowing nervously. His back hit the wall of the cavern.
He was a lying little sneak, but enough was enough. He was done playing intimidated to Xigbar who was just being so annoying. The tension snapped and he raised both hands, pushing Xigbar's off his chest and shoving him away.
"You know what? Fuck you. I don't have a temper problem!" Although losing his temper was the opposite of proving that. He swung his body around, he was quick and pushed Xigbar into the rock.
"So what, are you threatening me then?" It was like riling up a kitten, eventually the fangs and claws came out and Demyx looked less than thrilled. "Going to run to the Superior?"

Date: 2015-08-22 09:53 pm (UTC)He smirked, shifting his stance ever so slightly. More inviting. His voice was low, nearly a purr. "So, Number Nine. You've got Number Two in a predicament. What are you going to do about it now, huh?"

Date: 2015-08-23 02:55 pm (UTC)It was his voice changing, the purring rumble that sent a wave of feeling right through him of the physical variety and his mouth gaped at the question, as if he was at a loss for words.
The lightbulb had turned on in his mind. Oh. But why? All of it was perplexing and his aggression made him show his teeth as he answered, his hand closing into a fist, grabbing some of the coat.
"You are such an asshole." Demyx hissed. But he was at his mercy, wasn't he? He pulled him back off the wall slightly and pushed him against it harder. "I should..."
He didn't finish that thought, because anything he said would probably get him killed. It was in his eyes that he was frustrated beyond belief. He'd heard that this could be a good outlet for that and since he couldn't hurt Xigbar, what harm could it do?
His fingers moved, loosened and then yanked Xigbar's zipper down roughly before he crushed his lips to the older man's with a growl.

Date: 2015-08-24 11:12 am (UTC)Kind of like a storm at sea. Everyone thought Axel was the unstable one. But he was predictable in that instability. Demyx? He wasn't so sure.
Xigbar grabbed a fistful of coat at Demyx's belly, yanking him closer.

Date: 2015-08-24 11:22 am (UTC)The kiss broke and he glared. "I'm so...you...the things I should do to you." He growled, still more on his violent tendency over anything else.
One hand moved up to shove the coat off his shoulder and he bit the juncture where Xigbar's neck met his shoulder, sucking hard. This would occur to him later as a bad idea.

Date: 2015-08-24 12:44 pm (UTC)"Things maybe you should do." He laughed and rested a hand on Demyx's lower back, fingers kneading gently at his spine. He tilted his head back to give Demyx more room. "So long as I get to do mine, huh?"

Date: 2015-08-24 02:35 pm (UTC)Demyx's fury was truly untested and unpredictable. He swiped his tongue where he bit. "This what you're looking for, huh?"
Out of spite he gave the bigger man's shoulders a hard shove to pin him more firmly. A reminder he wasn't as weak as he looked.
